CMAT ENTRANCE EXAM
CMAT exam stands for “Common Management Admission Test”. This entrance exam is a National level MBA admission test which is conduct and approved by AICTE. AICTE stands for “All India Council of Technical Education”.
The aim of AICTE is to give every institute a suitable candidate for admission in management programs which candidates approved by them.
The entrance exam is conducted two times in a year. Two best score in the CMAT exam is used for admission. This entrance exam is a computer based online exam. In 2016 first exam is held on 17 January, Sunday. Various b-schools and management colleges in India accepted CMAT scores for admission in MBA.
This exam required Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university of minimum 3 years.
If any candidate is in the final year of bachelor’s that candidate can also apply for this entrance exam.
Candidate can apply with 50% for others and 45% for the reserved category at the qualification examination.
EXAM FORMAT FOR CMAT ENTRANCE EXAM
In this entrance exam, there are 4 sections. They are as follows
- Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation
- Logical Reasoning
- Language Comprehensive
- General Awareness
These sections show the ability of candidate in various segments. In this exam questions asked in the exam will be an objective type.
There are 25 questions in every section means Quantitative Technique and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehensive, General Awareness. Each section has 100 marks which mean total 400 marks and there is also negative marking on every wrong answer. Total duration for CMAT entrance exam is of 180 minutes (3 hours).
PROCEDURE FOR CMAT ENTRANCE EXAM
To take this entrance exam you have to register online. And you can pay the fee by using available payment modes. You can select any 3 dates and cities for the exam as per your choice.
